Origami artwork is inspired by the intimate connection between human beings and nature and how all sentient life is interwoven. It is also an expression of energy through art as a healing channel or Satori (a Japanese Buddhist term for awakening). Satori also refers to the experience of kenshō - "seeing into one's true nature". As the creation process unfolds, its meditative affect reveals a delicate strength and subtle presence, which reflects the pure essence of nature and its ability to heal.
